About the Role:
As a Roadside Recovery Mechanic, you’ll attend vehicle breakdowns across the Bradford area, carrying out effective on-site repairs to ensure buses can safely return to the depot. This is a key role within the engineering team, helping to keep services running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

Attend roadside breakdowns and carry out repairs or temporary fixes

Diagnose faults using appropriate tools and techniques

Drive a company vehicle to breakdown locations

Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard

Accurately complete breakdown reports and documentation

Collect parts from stores when required

Support the engineering team with additional duties as needed
About You:

Full UK driving licence (essential)

Basic mechanical knowledge or qualifications (e.g. SVQ Level 2 or equivalent)

Familiarity with diagnostics and repair techniques (desirable)

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

A willingness to learn and develop new skills

PCV licence is advantageous, but training will be provided
