Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper
An established and stable accountancy practice based in Liverpool city centre is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join the team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with practice experience who enjoys working with a variety of SME and sole trader clients. We are also open to considering candidates moving from industry into practice, provided they have strong all-round transactional finance experience and are keen to learn.
The Role
You will support a varied portfolio of clients with duties including:

Bookkeeping to trial balance

Bank reconciliations
-
Purchase and sales ledger
-
Payroll support (training can be provided)
-
VAT returns (training can be provided)

General accounts administration
About You
We are looking for someone who:

Ideally holds or is working towards an AAT qualification

Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment

OR has strong industry finance experience and is looking to move into practice

Has experience using Xero and Sage
-
QuickBooks experience would be advantageous
-
Has a good working knowledge of Excel
-
Is organised, reliable and enjoys working with SME and sole trader clients
