Our client is a well-established, specialist supplier of industrial products and components, supporting customers across the UK and globally. They operate in high-demand sectors such as manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, where reliability and speed are critical.
They are now looking to recruit a confident, proactive and resourceful Sales & Purchasing Administrator to join their team in Stockport.
This is a high-volume, fast-moving role where priorities can change quickly. It requires resilience, organisation and a hands-on approach.
The Role:
Take full ownership of customer orders from initial enquiries through to timely delivery
Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries (phone & email)
Interpret requirements and ensure clear understanding of customer needs
Source products, obtain quotes and place orders with suppliers
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure on-time, accurate delivery

Previous experience in a sales support, customer service, purchasing or administrative role
Strong communication skills (phone and email), with the ability to clarify technical or detailed requirements
Excellent organisation and time management, able to handle multiple enquiries at once
Good problem-solving ability and a proactive mindset
Confident using IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office, Sage or ERP/MRP)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentDesirable
Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial supply environments
Familiarity with procurement processes or supplier management
Understanding of technical products
Experience with order processing, quotations, and logistics coordinationOn Offer
Salary to £30K (DOE)
Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm, Friday 8:30am-4:00pm
