Job Title: General Administrator – Maternity Cover – 12 Months
Location: Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm / 8.30am to 5pm
Remuneration: £23,000.00 to £28,000.00 depending on experience & ability
25 days’ holiday + bank holidays
Objective of General Administrator Role:
Providing administration support to all areas of the business. Successfully fulfilling the role will aid your colleagues in maintaining existing business & providing a consistent level of support for the recruitment of new business.
Duties in Role of General Administrator include:

Answering telephone
-
Greet visitors & receive parcel deliveries

Carry out & maintain all electronic filing

Maintain logs of company tools & vehicles, keeping asset lists & records of service, tax & MOTs

Place orders with suppliers and process invoices

Maintain training logs of all engineers & file relevant certification
-
Process & log holiday requests, sickness & overtime
-
Manage office telephones & company mobile phones
-
Process expenses, private mileage & parking fines
-
Order & manage uniform stock levels

Maintain records of subcontractors’ insurances & accreditation policies
Skills & Qualifications for the position of General Administrator

GCSE Grade 5 or C (or equivalent) in maths & English as a minimum

Methodical organisational skills

Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in administration role in an office environment

Pitman’s or equivalent qualifications in Typing & Office Practice
-
Confident & well experienced in the use of Excel
-
Confident & well experienced in the use of Word
