Cordomus is a Wimbledon-based refurbishment company now focusing on high-quality bathroom renovations across London and Surrey.
We are looking for a skilled Bathroom Installer / Multi-Trade Operative to work as part of a small bathroom installation team.
This role is suited to someone with good practical experience across bathroom installation, plumbing support, carpentry, preparation, making good and general building works.
The Role
The Bathroom Installer / Multi-Trade Operative will support the Lead Bathroom Installer with the practical delivery of bathroom projects.
You will help keep the job moving through strip-out, first fix, preparation, installation, making good and final finishing stages.
Cordomus will provide or coordinate specialist electricians and high-quality tilers where required, but we need capable multi-trade installers who can help complete the core bathroom works to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with bathroom strip-out and site protection.
Support first fix and second fix plumbing works.
Assist with installing baths, shower trays, basins, WCs, taps, valves and wastes.
Help install concealed cisterns, wall-hung sanitaryware and bathroom furniture.
Carry out carpentry, boxing, framing and access panel works.
Prepare walls and floors for tiling and finishing.
Install backer boards, plasterboard and suitable bathroom substrates where required.
Assist with tanking and waterproofing preparation.
Carry out general building, making good and minor repair works.
Support installation of vanity units, mirrored cabinets and accessories.
Coordinate with tilers, electricians and other trades as directed by the Lead Installer or Project Manager.
Keep the site clean, tidy and protected.
Provide progress photos and updates when required.
Assist with snagging and final finishing.
Skills and Experience Required
Experience working on bathroom renovations or residential refurbishments.
Good practical skills across several trades.
Basic to good plumbing knowledge.
Carpentry and boxing experience.
General building and making-good ability.
Understanding of bathroom sequencing.
Ability to work from instructions, drawings and scopes.
Reliable, tidy and professional attitude.
Good communication.
Willingness to work as part of a small team.
Useful Additional Skills
Minor plastering.
Decorating.
Silicone finishing.
Wet-room preparation.
Underfloor heating preparation.
Bathroom furniture installation.
Wall-hung sanitaryware installation.
Tanking systems.
Tiling preparation.
General tiling ability would be useful, although specialist tiling may be handled separately.
