Pay Rate: £12.84 per hour + £60 per week shift allowance (when on nights)
Hours:
Training (Days): 06:00 – 18:00 (40 hours over 4 days: 3 x 12-hour shifts and 1 x 8-hour shift, including 1-hour break per shift)
Standard Night Shift: 18:00 – 06:00
Weekend Night Shift Option: Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 18:00 – 06:00 (training for this shift will take place on weekday nights)
We are currently recruiting for a Plating Operator to join our team on a temporary basis, covering long-term sickness. This role involves working on a semi-automated PCB plating line and is suited to someone who can work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily production targets.
Full training will be provided, initially on day shifts before transitioning to nights.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor the PCB copper plating process on a semi-automated line
Accurately read and follow route cards to match job specifications and quantities
Set up machinery in line with job requirements
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and health and safety guidelines
Ensure all work is completed accurately and within required timeframes
Carry out basic machine maintenance to support smooth operation
Handle PCB boards carefully to maintain quality standards
Prioritise workloads to maximise efficiency and throughput
Requirements
Good level of English (written and verbal) to follow instructions and documentation
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Previous manufacturing or production experience is desirable but not essential
