Team Legal Secretary – Litigation — Position Overview
The successful Team Legal Secretary – Litigation will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners, ensuring the smooth running of the department. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Team Legal Secretary – Litigation
- Providing typing, secretarial, and administrative support to the litigation team.
- Preparing legal documents and correspondence through audio typing and word processing.
- Managing case management systems and electronic filing.
- Handling client communications and acting as a first point of contact.
- Managing diaries, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
- Supporting file management, including file opening, closure, and archiving.
- Managing incoming and outgoing post, including scanned mail systems.
- Assisting with billing, time recording, and compliance reporting.
- Supporting court processes including CE filing and document preparation.
- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with firm procedures.
Requirements of the Team Legal Secretary – Litigation
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary (or similar professional role).
- Experience using digital dictation systems.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
- High attention to detail, including spelling and formatting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage workloads effectively.
