We are looking for a pro‑active, organised Pension Administrator who is curious, eager to learn and motivated by helping others. This is an entry level role which is the perfect place to begin or build your career in pensions. This is a permanent, full time role that is based at our Birmingham offices working on a hybrid basis.

A snapshot of your day:
- Preparing and checking computer generated benefit calculations and member correspondence
- Maintaining accurate member records and ensuring data integrity
- Interpreting scheme documentation including rules, booklets and announcements
- Completing manual calculations and supporting more complex casework
- Managing member activities in line with agreed service levels
- Identifying and escalating issues where appropriate, offering practical solutions
- Supporting and maintaining Information Security procedures in line with Barnett Waddingham policy
- Assisting with ad hoc tasks and supporting colleagues where needed
We would love to hear from you if you have:

Minimum of GCSE Grade “5” or “C” in Maths and English are essential. The Award in Pension Essentials or progress with other relevant PMI qualifications such as CPC (Certificate in Pension Calculations) would be an advantage. A willingness to make progress towards further professional qualifications would be a benefit; however, proven experience in the role is more desirable than academic achievement
- Experience in defined benefit pension administration
- Signs of progression in your current or previous role, such as increased responsibility or exposure to more complex work
- A clear aptitude for pensions administration and an interest in developing your technical knowledge
