An excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Studley as an Assistant Management Accountant. The company is a recognised name within its sector, supplying specialist products into a wide range of industries. Main Duties:
As an Assistant Management Accountant, your main duties include:

Contributing to the month-end process by pulling together the data and information required to produce accurate management accounts

Supporting a range of month-end activities, including bank reconciliations, debtors, creditors, accruals, prepayments, and intra-group loans

Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including VAT
-
Taking ownership of the purchase ledger, including processing invoices and running supplier payments

Reconciling supplier statements to ensure ledger accuracy and resolve any discrepancies

Posting sales receipts, supplier payments, journals, and other bank-related transactions

Working closely with the Finance Manager on a variety of finance tasks and projects

Stepping up to lead day-to-day finance activity when the managers are out of the office

Picking up ad-hoc finance work as needed to keep the function running smoothly
Location / Office / Culture
This role is based full-time on-site at the company’s offices in Studley, with flexible working hours to support a healthy work-life balance. You’ll be joining a close-knit finance team where you’ll get genuine hands-on support from a Finance Manager and Financial Controller who are invested in helping you progress. Study support is available after probation if you wish to pursue a professional qualification.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting role (essential)

Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments (essential)

A transactional finance background would be beneficial, but not essential

Confidence working both as part of a team and independently when required

Excel skills and good attention to detail is required
