About the Role
Teach Now is recruiting a dedicated and highly organised Behaviour Support Assistant to take ownership of an Inclusion Room provision within a well-established secondary school in Brent.
This is a pivotal role within the school’s behaviour system. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Inclusion Room, ensuring it remains a calm, structured and purposeful environment where students can reflect on their behaviour, reset, and successfully re-engage with learning.
This role requires consistency, resilience, and strong presence—you will be a key figure in maintaining high behavioural standards across the school.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the Inclusion Room on a daily basis
• Maintain a calm, controlled and purposeful environment
• Support students who have been removed from lessons
• Reinforce behaviour expectations and encourage reflection
• Work closely with pastoral teams, SLT, and teaching staff
• Log incidents, track behaviour patterns, and provide reports
• Ensure students remain engaged and complete assigned work
About You
• Proven experience managing behaviour in a school or similar setting
• Experience in Alternative Provision or PRUs is highly desirable
• Strong behaviour management skills – firm, fair, and consistent
• Highly reliable with excellent punctuality and professionalism
• Confident managing groups of students independently
• Calm, resilient, and able to handle challenging behaviour effectively
• Strong communication skills with authority and presence
• Able to build respect quickly while maintaining clear boundaries

• Students remain calm, engaged, and complete their work
• Behaviour incidents are managed effectively and consistently
