We are seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Colne. This full-time position is due to start in May and will be a long-term supply role. Key responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group behaviour support to pupils with additional needs

Assist the class teacher in maintaining a positive, structured learning environment

Implement behaviour support strategies and personalised plans

Help promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive engagement

Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams to ensure consistent support
Pre-requisites

Relevant qualifications for working within an educational setting

Proven experience of supporting pupils with behavioural, SEMH, or additional learning needs

Strong knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies

Two education or school-based references

Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

A calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations
