Role Overview
The Accounts Assistant will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their accounting career within a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable

Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner

Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices

Prepare payment runs and reconcile supplier statements

Handle supplier queries and maintain strong relationships
Accounts Receivable
-
Raise and issue customer invoices
-
Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
-
Allocate incoming payments and reconcile discrepancies
Banking & Reconciliation
-
Perform daily bank reconciliations
-
Post and reconcile cash receipts and payments
-
Assist with cash flow tracking
General Finance Support

Assist with month-end processes, including journal entries and accruals

Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems

Support audits and provide documentation as required

Assist in payroll administration
Key Skills & Experience

Previous experience in an accounts or finance role

Understanding of basic accounting principles
-
Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good organisational and time management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar)

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
