Join our One Great Team here at Haven as a Groundworker!We are seeking an experienced and reliable Groundworker to join our team, with a strong background in groundwork and slab laying. This role is ideal for someone confident in preparing ground, lifting and relaying slabs, and carrying out high-quality finishing work to maintain the park’s outdoor areas to a professional standard.You will play a key role in ensuring our pathways, communal areas, and external spaces remain safe, level, and visually appealing for our guests.Key Responsibilities- Prepare and level ground for paving and slab installation.- Lay, lift, and relay paving slabs to a high standard.- Carry out repairs and maintenance to existing paved areas, walkways, and hard standings.- Undertake general groundwork including excavation, sub-base preparation, and reinstatement works.- Identify and rectify trip hazards and uneven surfaces to maintain a safe environment.- Safely operate relevant tools and small plant equipment.- Work collaboratively with the wider facilities team to deliver efficient and professional service across the park.Requirements- Proven experience in groundwork, specifically slab laying and ground preparation.- Ability to lift and handle slabs and materials safely, this is a physically demanding role.- Good understanding of levels, drainage, and sub-base preparation.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Strong awareness of health and safety regulations within a construction or groundwork environment.- Full UK driving licence is essentialWhat We Offer - An inclusive, supportive work environment. - Comprehensive training and ongoing support. - Career development opportunities, including fully funded qualifications. - Exclusive team perks, including up to 50% off on-park dining, 20% discounts on Haven Holidays and in-store purchases, free access to our facilities, savings at national brands and retailers, and so much more!
