ASSISTANT PRINT OPERATOR / ASSISTANT GLUING OPERATOR
Norwich based independently run print packaging company
Will be on an initial 12 week temp to perm period (Probation) through ourselves with the end client taking you on permanently after the successful probation period.
Pay rate based on experience level.
Fulltime position
The candidate will be working in a team of 5 people; the main part of the job will be packing of the end of the finishing & glue line into boxes.
Quality checking the products will also be an important part of your daily routine.
This role is a treble shift rotation. For example , night shift week 1, late shift week 2 and early shift week 3.
Early shift – 6am – 13.30pm ( Mon – Fri)
Late shift – 13.30- 21.00pm ( Mon – Fri)
Night shift – 9pm – 06.00am ( Mon – Thu )
Excellent time keeping is a must, if the successful candidate performs well for the 12 weeks under the agency, then there is a good chance we will offer them a full time contract.

Our client is a leading packaging/print manufacturer, supplying the full range of Packaging solutions in to a variety of market sectors.
They are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Print Operator / Assistant gluing operative to manufacture or assist in the manufacture of corrugated/card/paper based packaging to high quality print specifications working on Bobst and SBL multipoint gluers.
Main Duties:
• Checking print quality and that the product makes up correctly and is fit for purpose. Working the back end of the gluer, to finish products, ready for dispatch…MUST have good attention to detail and reliability is the key.
• Taking dimensional measurements and associating these with products specifications, ensuring products are within tolerance of customer expectations.
• Cleaning and maintaining machinery.
• Demonstrating flexibility in operating a variety of machinery proficiently
• Ensure accurate records are maintained throughout production process.
• Minimise downtime by forward planning to ensure all materials are available well in advance
• To help utilise allocated labour to the best effect in order to achieve identified priorities.
• Work with your Team Leader on process/continuous improvement projects
• To help your Team Leader co-ordinate labour over meal breaks and ensure allocated break times are adhered to
Fulltime position on a temp to perm basis.
Holiday 26 days per year + bank holidays
