Purchase Ledger Assistant, Stoke-on-Trent, Up to £26,500 per year
The Role
We’re working with a growing business in Stoke-on-Trent that’s looking to add a Purchase Ledger Clerk to their accounting team. It’s a great opportunity for someone who already has some purchase ledger experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced, supportive team environment.
Our client is continuing to grow, offering a stable role with plenty of opportunity to develop your skills within finance.
What You’ll Be Doing

Match, batch and coding invoices
-
Allocating invoices to the correct accounts

Setting up new suppliers
-
Supporting with supplier payment runs
-
Posting direct debits
-
Reconciling supplier statements
-
Processing staff expenses
-
Investigating and resolving invoice queries

Managing the purchase ledger inbox and responding to queries
What They’re Looking For
-
Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role

Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with queries
-
Excellent attention to detail
-
Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
