Job Description:
Job Title: Fettler / Metal Finishing Operative
Department: Manufacturing / Production
Reporting to: Production Supervisor
Responsibilities
-
Deburr and finish metal components using hand tools such as grinders, files, and linishing equipment.

Work to production orders while meeting customer specifications and quality standards.

Read and interpret technical drawings.

Use measuring equipment including tape measures, steel rulers, and vernier calipers.

Select and use appropriate cleaning equipment for different materials and components.

Package finished parts according to required specifications.

Ensure all packaging is completed to a high standard to protect components during handling and transport.

Follow all health and safety procedures in line with workplace policies.

Read and understand work instructions and production orders.

Use material handling equipment such as forklifts or lifting equipment when required (where licensed).

Follow quality control procedures during all stages of production.

Perform basic inspection of finished components and escalate issues when higher-level inspection is required.
