Driver Hire Gatwick is currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our client based in Crawley. This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for loading and unloading a variety of cargo using a forklift truck and other mechanical equipment, as well as performing manual handling where required.
Key Duties:

Loading and unloading vehicles carrying mixed cargo

Operating a forklift truck safely and efficiently

Using additional mechanical handling equipment as required

Completing manual handling tasks when necessary
-
Ensuring loads are secure and handled safely

Complying with all Health & Safety and on-site procedures

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Valid Forklift Truck licence (Counterbalance or Reach depending on site requirements)

Previous experience loading/unloading vehicles

Ability to operate equipment safely and responsibly

Good understanding of manual handling procedures
-
High attention to safety and accuracy
-
PPE required: Hi‑Vis and Safety Boots

Own transport preferred for commuting to the depot
