Cast Finish Operative
We are currently recruiting for a Cast Finish Operative to join our clients manufacturing team in based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail who enjoys working in a hands-on production environment.
Cast Finish Operative Benefits:
Starting Rate: £13.51 per hour
Location: Sheffield, S9
Hours/Days: 37.5 hours per week - Day shift - 4 day week Monday to Thursday
Shifts: Monday to Wednesday - 9.5 hours, starting 6am, until 4pm & Thursday - 9 hours, starting 6am, until 3.30pm
Contract: Permanent Cast Finish Operative Role:
The Cast Finish Operative is responsible for straightening, buffing, and grinding components to ensure they meet precise dimensional and quality specifications. The role involves working with a variety of tools and inspection equipment while maintaining high production standards and adhering to health and safety procedures.
Cast Finish Operative Key Responsibilities:
Straightening, buffing, and grinding cast parts to required specifications
Using tools such as hammers, presses, calipers, DTI's, shadowgraphs, grinding guns, linishing belts, and cut-off machines
Carrying out visual inspections and quality checks
Completing production and timekeeping paperwork accurately
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets
Following company quality procedures and health & safety standards Cast Finish Operative Skills & Experience:

Ability to follow technical methods and dimensional specifications
Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team
Good timekeeping and reliability
Flexible approach to work and willingness to support different areas when required
