Hours: Mon–Thurs 07:15–16:00 | Fri 07:15–15:00 (early finish every week)

The Role
We’re recruiting an experienced Welding Team Leader to join a well-established manufacturing and engineering business supplying the structural, rail, and automotive sectors.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a senior welder/fabricator, foreman, or team leader who enjoys working from fabrication drawings, understands materials and welding processes, and can guide a team on the shop floor while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Leading and supporting a team of welders and fabricators on the shop floor

Interpreting and working confidently from fabrication and engineering drawings

Providing technical guidance on materials, welding methods, and fabrication processes

Ensuring work is completed to quality standards and within agreed timescales

Carrying out pre-start safety checks and promoting a strong H&S culture

Troubleshooting fabrication, material, or workflow issues as they arise

Liaising with management to communicate progress, issues, and priorities

Supporting training and development of less experienced team members
What We’re Looking For

Strong background in fabrication and welding

Proven experience as a Fabrication Supervisor, Team Leader, or Foreman

Confident reading and interpreting fabrication/engineering drawings

Good working knowledge of metals and fabrication techniques

A practical, hands-on leader with clear communication skills

Safety-focused and quality-driven
