Kinetic are supporting an established engineering and instrumentation manufacturer based in Altrincham in recruiting 2 x Mechanical Assembly Operatives. With more than 150 years of engineering heritage, the company has built a strong reputation for precision manufacturing and high‑quality mechanical instrumentation.
You will be responsible for the mechanical assembly and build of high‑precision products, working to exacting engineering standards. This is a hands‑on role requiring good mechanical aptitude, the ability to work with tools and components, and a focus on producing high‑quality, reliable assemblies.
Key Mechanical & Production Responsibilities
Carry out hands‑on mechanical assembly and production tasks as directed.
Support day‑to‑day manufacturing operations across the workshop and assembly areas.
Assemble a range of mechanical parts, sub‑assemblies and components to engineering drawings and specifications.
Inspect and verify finished mechanical assemblies following company quality procedures.
Work safely and maintain an organised, well‑kept workstation in accordance with Quality and H&S standards.
Assist with training of colleagues on mechanical processes, tooling and product builds where required.
Follow established mechanical build instructions, engineering processes and operational guidelines.
Meet agreed production targets and mechanical build deadlines.
Report and record any equipment faults, tooling issues or maintenance requirements.
Identify, log and report scrap or non‑conforming components in line with company procedures.
Undertake additional mechanical or production tasks once trained and authorised.
We are looking for Mechanical Assemblers with:
Basic mechanical ability, comfortable using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
Hands‑on experience in a mechanical manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.
Strong attention to detail when assembling mechanical components and checking tolerances.
Ability to follow quality and safety standards, including ISO 9001:2015.
Confidence working from procedures, assembly instructions and technical documentation.
Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with the Operations Manager and wider engineering team.

Monday to Thursday - 9.25 hours per day
Flexible start times: 06:00, 06:30 or 07:00
£25,000 - £30,000 DOE
28 days' holiday (including Bank Holidays)
