Assistant Estimator - Leading Tier 1 Contractor
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £28,000 - £38,000

As an Assistant Estimator, you will support the Pre-Construction and Estimating team in preparing competitive and accurate cost plans and tender submissions. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a variety of projects while developing a strong commercial and technical understanding of the construction process
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions

Reviewing drawings, specifications, and other tender documentation

Taking off quantities and supporting the build-up of cost plans

Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations

Contributing to bid documentation and ensuring deadlines are met

Working collaboratively with internal teams including design, commercial, and operations

You’ll gradually take on more responsibility as your experience grows, with clear progression routes into Estimator and beyond.

Key Requirements:

Some experience in construction estimating (placement year, apprenticeship, or graduate role welcome)
