SERFILCO are currently recruiting for a Workshop & Warehouse Supervisor at our busy Manchester facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Workshop & Warehouse Organization & Management - Overseeing all operations, planning, scheduling and execution of production runs. Develop and track useful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
This is a spilt role, we expect that there will be a split of 70% shop floor duties (shop floor management, building/testing product) with 30% office duties (such as the production plan).
Promote a safe working environment, conducting regular safety training and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborate with the Purchasing & Sales Departments to support production needs. Strategic planning with day-to-day oversight, focusing on quality, efficiency and compliance to industry standards like ISO 9001
Staff Management - Lead and motivate a production team of 5-6 staff including managing staff holidays, rotas and absences to ensure uninterrupted operations. Handle disciplinary matters fairly and in line with company policies, fostering a positive work culture through training, performance reviews and team development
Essential Skills & Experience: - 3-5 years proven experience of working as a Manager/Supervisor or similar role in manufacturing. Ideally within pumping/Filtration or rotating equipment industry.
You will have experience of managing staff and a strong knowledge of production processes, including manual lathes and product testing.
Proficient in Microsoft office & Excel for production planning and basic ERP systems.
Desirable Skills: - Qualification in manufacturing, engineering or related field.
Hours: 8.15am-17.00pm Monday - Thursday,8.15am-14.30 Friday
