Key Responsibilities
Saw Machine
Measuring, cutting, and preparing natural and engineered wood for saw machinery operations.
Operating Homag SAW to precise specifications from technical drawings.Operating Biesse Stream A Edge Banding Machine, setting up and operating accordingto specifications.
Properly feeding wood panels and adjusting settings for quality edge banding.
Inspecting finished products for defects and ensuring quality standards are met.
Achieving daily production targetsForklift
Operating a counterbalance forklift to move, position, and manage oversized and heavy wood panels throughout the factory.
Manoeuvring the forklift confidently and safely within tight spaces and a busy factory environment.
Handling large-format panels with care and precision to avoid damage to materials and equipment.
Supporting the wider team with material handling and stock movement as required.Requirements
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is essential.
Proven experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including handling oversized loads and working in confined or tight spaces.
Previous experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential.
Previous experience operating machinery and hand power tools.
High attention to detail and level of accuracy.
Strong organisational skills with a can-do attitude and focus on meeting deadlines and targets.
Numeracy and literacy with the ability to read paperwork and understand measurements.
Excellent attendance and timekeeping.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and work overtime when required.Monday - Thursday 07:30 to 04:30, Friday 07:30 to 12:30
