A dynamic organisation is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts to oversee direct payment accounts and payroll operations. This is a key role ensuring accurate, timely payments while maintaining compliance with payroll and pension regulations.
Job title: Payroll & Accounts Administrator
Location: Hybrid (Chelmsford office)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Estimated Salary: £26,091 per annum
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive professional with experience in payroll and account management, looking for a hybrid or flexible working arrangement.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage payment accounts, monitoring funds and chasing contributions
Upload, validate and approve timesheets and invoices, resolving discrepancies
Process payroll accurately and on time
Maintain accurate records across CRM, payroll and accounting systems
Ensure pension auto-enrolment and correct employer/employee contributions
Reconcile accounts and provide data for KPI reporting
Respond to customer enquiries and manage account changes
Identify and escalate safeguarding or financial risk concernsWhat we are looking for:
Previous payroll experience
Strong customer service skills
Excellent attention to detail, numeracy and administrative skills
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workload
IT literate, with experience using Microsoft and payroll/finance systems
