Job Title: Machine Operative + FLT Driver – Late Shift (16:00 – 00:30)
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Machine Operative with FLT licence to join our team on a late shift (4:00pm – 12:30am). This is a hands-on role in a busy yard and production environment, offering a varied workload and long-term opportunity.
Pay: £12.21ph
Location: Preston. Ribbleton (near Resdcar Indistrial Estate)
Key Responsibilities:

Operate plant machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.

Use Forklift Truck (FLT) to load/unload vehicles and move materials around site.

Secure loads quickly, safely, and methodically.

Ensure production targets are met by working effectively within a team.

Carry out daily and weekly maintenance checks (refuelling, lubrication, greasing).

Report any machinery defects, breakdowns, or safety concerns immediately.

Check incoming loads for compliance with site requirements.

Maintain a clean and tidy working area, keeping walkways and emergency exits clear.

Follow all health & safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Assist with general warehouse cleaning and other operational duties as required.
Requirements:

Valid, in-date Forklift Truck (FLT) licence (essential).

Physically fit with good stamina (heavy lifting involved).

Strong work ethic and reliable attitude.

Mechanical or breakdown experience (advantageous).
