Lead Cleaner
At TEACH, we pride ourselves on providing a clean and safe learning environment for our children, staff, and visitors. We are looking for a dedicated, reliable individual to join our cleaning team and help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
12.5 hours per week.
Monday to Friday, 3 pm – 5.30 pm
Term time + Inset days + 30 hours to be worked in school closure periods
Salary Grade A (Point 2): £24404 pro-rata, (Actual Salary - £7336.56)
Permanent - Required March 2026
The TEACH Poole Multi Academy Trust was formed in April 2015. All four of our wonderful schools are graded as good or outstanding schools by Ofsted. We are extremely popular, over-subscribed, forward-thinking schools with supportive staff and fantastic children.
We are looking to appoint a Lead Cleaner to join our Trust to supervise a dedicated team under the direction of the Headteacher. The current vacancy is at Canford Heath Infant School.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of cleaners, providing guidance, training, and motivation
- Ensure all areas are sanitised, checked regularly, and maintained to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Restock and order cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed
- Clean classrooms, offices, hallways, toilets, and other school areas
- Dust, sweep, mop, hoover, and polish floors
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Headteacher
- Follow all health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Experience supervising or leading a team preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards
- Good communication and people management skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
