Beam Recruit is proud to be supporting a rapidly growing business services organisation based in St Helens, as they look to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a 3–6 month fixed-term contract.

What You Will Be Doing
Reporting into the Financial Controller , you’ll support the finance function across a range of core accounting duties, including:

Assisting with month-end preparation and reporting

Accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations

Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
-
Bank reconciliations and cashflow support

Assisting with financial data analysis and reporting

Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting process improvements
-
Payroll support (nice to have)
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and being part of a team that’s driving improvement.
What Makes You a Great Fit
To be considered, you’ll ideally have:

Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant / Accounts role

AAT qualified (or working towards)
-
Strong Excel skills and confident working with finance systems

A proactive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
-
Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
-
Payroll experience would be beneficial, but not essential
