£26,500 - £34,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Buyer

Manage supply chain deliveries in line with ERP requirements.

Execute MRP, KANBAN and JIT ordering.

Maintain and manage supplier order books.

Oversee the negative stock report and ensure timely resolution.

Identify potential shortages and take action to maintain delivery schedules.

Work with the supply chain to resolve delivery issues and maintain product flow.

Actively drive OTIF performance with suppliers.
-
Maintain accurate ordering parameters.

Resolve invoice queries efficiently.
Key Skills of an Assistant Buyer
Essential:

Strong IT capability, particularly in Excel, data analysis, Word and PowerPoint.

Understanding of ERP systems and how they integrate with physical operations.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and environments.

Excellent planning and communication skills.

Understanding of project and production planning.
-
Strong scheduling and organisational skills.
Desirable:

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
-
Knowledge of Microsoft AX preferred but not essential.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
