Manufacturer Technical Assistant
Location: Eye, Suffolk.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm.
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 p.a. depending on experience.
Contract: Full Time, Permanent.

Our client is actively looking for an enthusiastic Technical Assistant to join their friendly and driven Technical Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop strong skills or start a career in food safety, quality, and compliance while playing a key role in delivering safe, consistent, high-quality products to our customers.
What You'll Be Doing:
In this varied and hands-on role, you'll support daily technical and quality operations across the factory. Your responsibilities will include:
Completing daily, weekly, and monthly technical tasks.
Overseeing the internal audit schedule assigning, monitoring, and conducting audits.
Preparing samples and sending them to external laboratories.
Ensuring products meet standards for positive release, issuing Certificates of Analysis/Conformance.
Reporting to the team if lab tests show something isn't right, and helping figure out what caused the problem
Ensuring they can track where all the ingredients have come from and where they went to, and the amounts used.
Working closely with customers, responding to queries and technical requests.
Assisting with customer specifications and documentation.
Reviewing and signing off production paperwork, maintaining accurate records.
Updating and maintaining supplier approval information.
What You'll Need to Bring:
They're looking for someone who is curious, proactive, happy to be hands-on and eager to learn. You also need to have:
Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
Great organisation skills and the ability to prioritise.
A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
A full UK Driving licence with minimal points.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
Level 2 Food Safety training
Level 2 Health & Safety training
Basic HACCP understanding
Internal auditing training
Awareness of environmental & sustainability principles.
