Nestled in the heart of a Village near Buntingford—This is one of Hertfordshire’s smallest and most welcoming schools. With around 40 pupils from pre-school to Year 4, we offer a nurturing environment, an ambitious curriculum, and enriching experiences such as weekly Forest School for all pupils. Our staff are valued members of both the school and the wider community, helping our children and village thrive together.
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. As the first point of contact for pupils, parents and visitors, you will represent the warmth and professionalism that characterise our school. Working closely with senior leaders, you will oversee key administrative and financial functions while supporting the wider needs of our small, vibrant school.
Key Responsibilities

Providing a welcoming reception for visitors, parents and pupils

Managing administrative, MIS and ICT systems, ensuring accurate and secure records

Supporting financial processes, including payments, invoices and statutory returns

Overseeing admissions, in-year allocations, Early Years funding, and nursery applications

Completing statutory data returns such as the school and workforce census

Maintaining staff records, DBS checks and the Single Central Record

Coordinating school trips, events, meetings and supporting teachers with day-to-day admin

Offering calm, caring assistance to pupils who are unwell or require support

Liaising with external contractors across school projects

Have experience with MIS systems (SIMS or similar is essential)
