Looking for an experienced Purchasing Assistant / Expeditor for a growing established company

Summary:
The Purchasing Assistant is a key role to help streamline and improve the purchasing function. Whilst administrative roles include progressing supply chains for delivery dates and communicating to the production planner, this role will require a strong personality to speak with and negotiate with the supply chain.
Day to Day functions will include:
To help make sure purchase orders are up to date against confirmed delivery dates from supplier confirmations
Proactively chase ‘open’ orders
To support in pulling in orders when required to improvements in the production chain
To support in pushing out orders when required to slippages in the production chain
Placing orders where shortages advised.
Full support of materials controller / purchasing manager when unavailable
Reconcile incoming invoices from suppliers to ensure these are processed through the system for timely information to the accounts team.
To support when applicable / appropriate in contingency plans, problem solving and areas for improvement in the processes.
To work with the warehouse and quality teams to resolve any supplier non conformances or issues
