A well-established manufacturing business based in High Wycombe is looking to recruit a Stores Operative to support its production and materials team.
This is a key role within a regulated manufacturing environment, responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, control and issue of materials and components. The position plays a vital part in ensuring quality, traceability and on-time delivery to production.
The Role
As a Stores Operative, you will support manufacturing operations by managing material flow, maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring full compliance with quality and safety standards.
You will work closely with production, quality and planning teams to ensure materials are available and correctly controlled at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Stores & Line Support
Receive, inspect and book in raw materials, components and consumables
Verify quantities, part numbers, revision levels and supporting documentation
Prepare and issue production kits in line with build schedules
Return unused materials to stores, maintaining full traceability
Support urgent material requests and production shortages Quality, Traceability & Compliance
Maintain full traceability including batch, lot and serial number control
Ensure materials are stored and handled in accordance with requirements
Identify and segregate non-conforming or quarantined materials
Support internal and external audits where required Inventory Control & Systems
Record stock movements accurately within ERP/MRP systems
Carry out cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
Support inventory accuracy to meet production and delivery targets
Assist with Kanban or point-of-use processes where applicable Health, Safety & Security
Follow Health & Safety, COSHH and manual handling procedures
Maintain high housekeeping standards within stores areas
Adhere to site security and export control processes where required
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Experience in a manufacturing stores, logistics or production support role
Understanding of working within a regulated manufacturing environment
Experience using ERP/MRP systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
Ability to work to production schedules and changing priorities
Good communication skills and ability to work closely with production teams Security Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance
