I'm currently recruiting for a Junior / Assistant Electrical Engineer to join a well-established and highly respected building services consultancy based in Manchester.
This business specialises in the design of mechanical and electrical systems for the built environment, working across a wide range of sectors including commercial offices, residential developments, education, healthcare and mixed-use projects. They are known for delivering high-quality, sustainable and innovative engineering solutions, and for investing heavily in the development of their people.
The Role
As a Junior/Assistant Electrical Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers to support the design and delivery of electrical building services projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career to gain hands-on experience and structured training within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the design of electrical services including lighting, small power, fire alarms and data systems
Supporting the preparation of drawings, calculations and specifications
Using industry software such as AutoCAD and Revit
Liaising with internal design teams and external project stakeholders
Attending site visits and project meetings as required
Working towards increased responsibility as your experience developsAbout You
A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
Some experience or placement exposure within building services is beneficial
A keen interest in sustainable and low-energy design
Good communication skills and a willingness to learn
Familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit would be advantageousWhat's on Offer
