The Role – Semi Skilled Fitter / Mechanical Assembler
As a Semi Skilled Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and complete assemblies in line with engineering drawings and company specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and construct complete mechanical assemblies from engineering drawings

Work from general arrangement and detailed engineering drawings
-
Ensure all components are correctly aligned using appropriate jigs and tools

Monitor build quality and ensure all parts are fit for purpose

Carry out quality checks throughout the assembly process
-
Identify and report non-conforming or damaged parts to the supervisor

Ensure all work is fully understood before commencing final assembly
-
Complete builds within agreed timeframes and to required specifications

Maintain accurate quality and production records
-
Follow company procedures and comply with all health & safety regulations
Shifts Available:
Two day shift options available:
Option 1 – 6:00am Start

Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 3:00pm

Friday: 6:00am – 11:00am
Option 2 – 7:00am Start

Day shift (hours to be confirmed at interview)
Early finish on Fridays.
Skills & Experience Required:
-
Experience in mechanical assembly, fitting or engineering workshop environment

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

Experience using hand tools, jigs and assembly equipment
-
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
-
Good understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing environment
-
Reliable with good timekeeping
