Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider.
We are currently recruiting for a HGV Drainage Tanker Assistant to join their team.
The main purpose of this HGV Drainage Tanker Assistant role is to provide additonal support to Lead HGV Drainage Engineer and the other drainage teams.
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £28,571 P/A, depending on experience.
This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be 5am - 4pm but can change depending on the location of works.
Reporting to the Operations Manager your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out descale works for below-ground drainage, line cleaning, root cutting, and confined space entry works.
Emptying of external grease traps.
Extensive tanker extraction works to Foul and Surface water systems/ Pump stations/ Petrol Interceptors
Working alongside CCTV & Drainage teams supporting and facilitating Surveys, inspections and detailed investigation works which will involve fault finding and providing practical solutions to support the client’s needs.
Support specialist teams with lining, patching and rehabilitation works.
Generally supporting drainage teams with clearance and blockage works should emergencies arise.
Picking up emergency tanker drainage callouts on a reactive basis.
Supporting pumps teams with Foul/Surface water pump station works.
Ensure correct tipping and waste disposal procedures are followed and adhered to.
The ideal candidate:
Must hold a valid Full UK Driving Licence
Happy to do occasional night work and stay aways with sufficient notice
Can do work ethic
Willingness to learn
Strong Team player
Self-motivated, discipline, and serious attitude towards health and safety in the workplace
