Multi-Skilled Operative (Joinery Bias)

Contract: Permanent | Full Time
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per annum

We are recruiting a Multi-Skilled Operative with a Joinery bias to carry out repairs, maintenance and minor refurbishment works across residential properties in Leeds.
The Role
You will be responsible for completing a wide range of responsive and planned maintenance tasks, often working independently and aiming to resolve issues on the first visit.
Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out repair, maintenance and refurbishment works across domestic properties

Delivering multi-skilled works across various trades where competent, with a joinery focus

Attending appointments on time and completing works within agreed target times

Diagnosing remedial works, arranging materials and organising follow-on visits where required

Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard

Maintaining cleanliness and minimising disruption within customers’ homes

Ensuring safe use and upkeep of tools, equipment and company vehicles

Participating in the out-of-hours emergency repair rota when required
Essential requirements:

NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds in Joinery, Carpentry or a relevant trade

Level 2 Building Maintenance Multi-Trade Repair & Refurbishment (or equivalent experience)

Valid CSCS card

Proven experience in repairs, maintenance and building construction

Full, valid UK driving licence
