About the role
Our client is a well-established business based in Basingstoke and is looking to hire a Sales & Marketing Assistant to support their regional Sales & Marketing team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in sales and marketing.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager and wider sales team, you’ll support the planning, delivery and evaluation of marketing activity designed to generate leads, increase visits and support sales performance. This is a varied, hands-on role offering exposure across digital marketing, content, CRM, events and campaign reporting.
You’ll be joining a collaborative environment where you’ll gain practical experience, develop core sales and marketing skills, and have clear scope to progress your career.
Key responsibilities

Support the coordination of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email and offline channels

Assist with content creation including copywriting, briefs, CRM emails and SMS communications

Support social media scheduling and engagement

Assist with website updates and basic SEO optimisation

Track campaign performance and help produce reports to review and improve messaging

Support events, webinars and promotional activity

Maintain marketing assets and brand materials

Assist with video content creation

Liaise with external agencies and internal teams

Ensure brand and GDPR compliance

Support budget tracking and invoice processing

Provide general support to the sales team and CRM Manager where required
What we’re looking for
This role is ideal for someone at the early stages of their sales or marketing career who is keen to learn, get involved and develop.
You’ll ideally have:

Some experience in sales, marketing, communications or a related role

Exposure to social media or digital marketing campaigns

A basic understanding of SEO, analytics and CRM tools

Experience supporting events or promotional activity

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Good written and verbal communication skills
-
A proactive, enthusiastic and collaborative approach
A sales or marketing qualification is preferred but not essential — attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn are just as important.
