Bliss / Palletiser Operative - Job Overview
Pay Rate: £14.90 per hour
The Bliss / Palletiser Operative will be responsible for operating and monitoring bliss and palletising equipment to ensure products are packed, stacked, and prepared accurately and efficiently in line with company quality and safety standards. This role involves supporting production flow, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe, clean, and organised working environment. Strong teamwork and strict adherence to health and safety procedures are essential to meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities Bliss & Palletising Operations
Operate and monitor bliss machines and palletisers to ensure efficient and consistent output
Set up and adjust equipment according to production requirements
Ensure correct stacking, wrapping, and labelling of finished products
Conduct routine checks to confirm pallet stability, packaging quality, and product accuracy
Identify and report equipment faults, production issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor Maintenance & Cleanliness
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with health & safety and GMP standards
Carry out basic maintenance, cleaning, and changeover tasks as required
Follow all company safety procedures and quality control guidelines Teamwork & Communication
Work collaboratively with production teams and other departments
Communicate production performance, downtime, or issues clearly to supervisors
Support shift handovers to ensure smooth operational continuity Key Requirements
Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred (bliss or palletising experience desirable)
Valid forklift and/or reach truck licence (essential)
Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good organisational and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends Shift Pattern
Week 1: 60 hours
Week 2: 24 hours
Continental shift pattern with 12-hour day and night shifts Pay Rate
£14.90 per hour
