About the Job
As Student Support Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting learners throughout their learning journey. Combining pastoral support with key administrative duties, you will act as a trusted point of contact for students, helping them stay organised, engaged, and on track to achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

Acting as a first point of contact for learners, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical support

Monitoring learner attendance, engagement, and progress, identifying and escalating barriers to learning

Providing one-to-one pastoral support to learners requiring additional assistance

Administering and invigilating examinations in line with awarding body and internal procedures

Supporting learners with employability skills, including CV reviews and mock interviews

Maintaining accurate learner records and completing administrative tasks to meet compliance requirements

Supporting the day-to-day running of the training centre

Contributing to learner engagement activities, celebrations, and progression or graduation events

Assisting with learner communications and social media engagement where required
This is a full-time, on-site role. Working hours include occasional late evenings and Saturdays on a rota basis.
Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this Student Support Administrator role, you will ideally have:

At least one year’s experience in an administrative, customer service, or education/training environment

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

Confidence using IT systems such as Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and learner management systems

Clear, professional, and supportive communication skills

A proactive and adaptable approach, comfortable managing multiple priorities

A genuine passion for supporting learners and helping them progress
Experience within an independent training provider or further education setting is advantageous but not essential.
