Your duties and responsibilities will be
The role will involve a broad range of technical and supervisory duties, including:
Reviewing and commenting on contractor technical electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (EICA) designs, inspection and test plans, and associated deliverables.
Ensuring all deliverables comply with relevant policies, strategies, standards and procedures, meeting required scope and quality expectations.
Undertaking NEC Supervisor duties for EICA?related activities, including factory inspections, factory acceptance testing, site installation checks and site acceptance testing.
Liaising and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, including active participation in meetings and technical workshops.
Providing technical support to the MEICA Discipline Lead, contributing to best?practice approaches, problem?solving and continuous quality improvement.
Identifying and mitigating engineering risks, with a strong understanding of responsibilities under CDM Regulations (2007).
Ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
A recognised qualification or formal training in electrical, electronic or communication engineering.
A relevant degree is desirable but not essential; HNC, NVQ or equivalent qualifications supported by relevant experience will also be considered
It’s great if you also have the following
Experience in design, factory testing, site installation and commissioning of modern communication, control and instrumentation systems.
Knowledge of networking technologies such as fieldbus, Profibus, fibre optic systems and GPRS data transmission.
Experience with Rockwell SCADA and PLC systems.
Familiarity with LV electrical systems and BS7671.
Understanding of WIMES standards.
Experience within the UK water industry is advantageous, particularly with ICA standards.
Background working in a multidisciplinary design office environment
