Role Overview
This entry-level Assistant Merchandiser position is central to ensuring that merchandising operations run smoothly. From raising orders to keeping stock flow on track, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring products perform at their optimal level.
You will also be responsible for monitoring sales trends, managing inventory levels, and ensuring accurate reporting across multiple systems. This role requires strong organisational skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Merchandising Manager to analyse sales performance, stock levels, and sell-through to maximise revenue and stock efficiency.
Identify and action inventory pull-forwards and push-backs with suppliers, collaborating with the Merchandising Manager and Supply Chain teams to optimise warehouse capacity.
Raise and place purchase orders with suppliers, managing lead times and date amendments in the system.
Maintain accurate product data across internal systems, including loading accuracy, product lead times, and margin analysis.
Own seasonal supplier performance reviews.
Support the Merchandising Manager in building out a WSSI suite, managing stock accuracy, and troubleshooting inventory issues.
Issue all markdown lists, track and report on the cost of markdowns, and monitor POS performance.
Manage swatch forecasting and intake, ensuring a never-out-of-stock approach to sale-supporting items.
Work closely with E-commerce to ensure all lines are optimally ranged online.
Produce ad-hoc analysis for the Buying & Merchandising team and Senior Leadership.
Skills & Experience Required
Current experience as an Assistant Merchandiser or Merchandise Admin looking to take the next step.
Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Confident communicator with excellent supplier relationship management skills.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; knowledge of Airtable is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to resolve discrepancies effectively.
