Hours 7.30am to 9.30am and 2.00pm to 4.00pm (you need to be available to cover both shifts)

About the Role:
As a Home to School Travel Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and caring transit of pupils and young persons with special educational needs to and from school. You'll be part of a dedicated team that supports the well-being and safety of our children during their journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
Accompany Children: Safely escort children with special educational needs using various forms of transport, ensuring a nurturing environment.
Ensure Safety: Maintain discipline and appropriate behaviour among children during transit.
Physical Support: Assist with the lifting and securing of immobile or disabled children, including wheelchairs and car seats.
Communication: Liaise with vehicle drivers and parents to coordinate daily journeys.
Medication and Money Handling: Safely transport medication and sums of money to hand over to school staff.
Report Incidents: Document and report any accidents or incidents, no matter how minor, ensuring a safe transport experience.

Requirements:
Ability to work in an unsupervised environment.
A valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate (training will be provided).
A willingness to undergo training and continuous professional development.
