Assistant Town Planner - London
I'm currently working with a well-established, design-led planning and development consultancy based in London that is looking to appoint an Assistant Town Planner as part of its continued growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at an early stage of their planning career who is keen to develop their technical skills, gain exposure to high-quality projects, and progress within a supportive and professional environment.
The Opportunity
You'll be joining a respected consultancy that works across a broad mix of residential, commercial, mixed-use and regeneration projects. The team is known for its collaborative culture, strong client relationships and commitment to mentoring junior planners.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
Supporting senior planners with research, site appraisals and planning statements
Liaising with local authorities, consultants and clients
Monitoring planning policy and contributing to policy reviews
Attending site visits, meetings and (where appropriate) planning committees
About You
A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited or working towards it)
Ideally 6-24 months' experience in a consultancy or local authority environment (graduates with relevant experience will also be considered)
A genuine interest in the UK planning system and the built environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organised, proactive and keen to learn
