Office Assistant (Maternity Cover - 9 Months)
£27,000 Part‑time (Tuesday-Friday, 9am-5pm) Office‑based
My client, an organisation within the gaming and entertainment sector, is seeking an organised and proactive Office Assistant to join their team on a 9‑month maternity cover contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy office environment and has a genuine passion for gaming and familiarity with gaming terminology.
You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the office and providing essential administrative support to the wider team and you will posses a passion for gaming, with an understanding of gaming terms and culture
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily office upkeep and maintain a professional, organised working environment
Monitor and replenish office supplies; assist with small procurement tasks
Support HR administration including onboarding, absence tracking and maintaining employee records
Provide administrative support to the Office Manager and Director General
Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Greet visitors, manage deliveries and act as a first point of contact
Manage incoming/outgoing post and handle telephone enquiries
Organise staff travel bookings, accommodation and meeting logistics
Maintain compliance, health & safety and supplier documentation
Assist in preparing internal documents, reports and presentations
Carry out general admin tasks including scanning, photocopying, filing and shredding
Schedule meetings, interviews and assist with diary coordination
About You
Must have a passion for gaming, with an understanding of gaming terms and culture
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident using office software and IT systems
Proactive, adaptable and able to multitask effectively
Approachable, helpful and comfortable supporting colleagues at all levels
Previous experience in an office environment is essential
