Thomas Professional are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on a Delivery Driver in Cardiff, delivering around the local area in South Wales.
Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday
Week 1: 6.00am – 2.00pm
Week 2: 7.00am to 3.00pm
You will be responsible for delivering manufactured products to customers within the local area (South Wales) on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for ensuring goods are loaded and unloaded carefully, also building relationships with customers as you will be delivering to a lot of the same businesses on a regular basis.
Delivery Driver Benefits:
Salary of £16.38p/h – 40 hours per week
Yearly bonus up to 10% of annual salary based on company performance
Monday to Friday shifts, no weekends, but weekend overtime is available
Permanent, stable role within a growing organisation during an exciting period of expansion
32 days holiday including bank hols – 2 days to be saved per year to have a 2 week Christmas shutdown

Delivery Driver Duties:
Performing daily vehicle safety checks
Delivery of products in a safe and efficient manner
Working with the Dispatch team to strap and secure loads on both Flatbed and Curtain Sided Vehicles
Provide strong customer service upon arrival at customer sites
Keeping in regular contact with Transport Planners, providing updates when needed
Responsible for making sure all delivery logs are signed and accounted for
Delivery Driver Essential Experience:
HGV Class 1 Driving License minimum with no endorsements
Drivers CPC
Digital Drivers Card
Good customer service skills
Able to perform basic checks on vehicles
Able to follow instructions
Able to work in a safe manner both on site, and on the road
Excellent timekeeping and time management
Good geographical knowledge of South Wales and surrounding locations
