Customer Service Advisor
Temporary - Up to 12 Months, workload dependent
Full-time | 37 hours per week | Mon – Thurs 8.45am - 5pm & Fri 8.45am - 4.30pm
Salary: £12.63 per hour
An opportunity has arisen to join a busy and professional customer service team for approx 12 months. This is a front-line, call-centre based role where you will act as the first point of contact for customers, delivering a high-quality service across a wide range of enquiries.
The Role
Handle inbound customer enquiries primarily via telephone
Provide advice and information across multiple service areas
Resolve customer queries at first point of contact wherever possible
Accurately update customer records and systems
Promote self-service options where appropriate
Manage sensitive or complex situations with professionalism and empathy
Work to performance targets within a structured rota
About You:
Previous experience in a customer service or contact centre environment
Confident communicator with clear verbal and written skills
Comfortable using IT systems and Microsoft Office
Able to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging conversations
Organised, flexible, and able to learn new information quickly
A positive team player with a strong customer-focused approach
Public sector experience is desirable but not essential.
