Job Title: Engine Stripper / Strip Operatives.
Afternoons Shift: Monday to Friday: 2:30pm - 1:00am(four day week)
(will start on days until competent)

Job Overview
We are currently seeking an Engine Stripper to join our Engine Strip & Transmission team at our Barton Under Needwood site. The role involves dismantling and reassembling engines in line with manufacturer standards and warranty requirements. The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Dismantle mechanical components of engines in accordance with instructions
- Collect new parts and distribute them to the correct engines or machinery
- Jet wash engines after final checks prior to dispatch
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as instructed by the manager in support of company
objectives
- Work in accordance with all 5S activities
- Report any near misses
- Ensure waste is disposed of correctly
- Mentor trainees or apprentices where applicable
- Report any issues or problems to the line manager
- Comply with all company and statutory Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Personnel policies and procedures
- Take on additional responsibilities within the employee's skills and abilities
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Motor Repairs or equivalent - preferred.
- Experience within the rail or automotive industry
- Mechanical experience
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork skills
- Flexible approach to work and responsibilities
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing deadlines and short lead times
