Location: Burton upon Trent
Shift pattern:
Afternoon shift (will initially start on days - five days)
Monday to Friday, 2:30pm to 1:00am (four days)
40 hours per week
Pay rate: To be discussed
Duration: 6-month contract with the potential to become permanent
Start date: Immediate
Client summary:
Our client is a leading manufacturer and front-line supplier of train products across the UK and Ireland. Their areas of expertise include engine overhaul, final drive overhaul, and locomotive parts refurbishment.
Position summary:
The role involves the cleaning and preparation of engine, transmission, and raft parts. This will be carried out using manual tools, including scrapers and dual action (DA) sanders.
Person profile / experience:
- Basic mechanical background
- Familiar with hand tools
- Comfortable working in a dirty and repetitive environment
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
