Senior Production Manager
Location: Crewe
Salary: Up to £67,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday–Friday | 07:00–15:30 (flexibility around core hours)

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior role where your leadership, judgement, and delivery focus will directly influence performance across several sites.
Working in partnership with a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation, this role places you at the heart of complex heavy maintenance delivery. Acting as a Senior Production Manager, you will lead five Heavy Maintenance Production Managers and a substantial workforce across production and business operations.
You will be responsible for balancing safety, governance, performance, and stakeholder expectations all while navigating a constantly evolving operational landscape.
In this role, you will:
Lead and oversee the delivery of multiple major heavy maintenance projects.
Own health & safety compliance, including risk assessments and site safety governance.
Develop and embed governance and assurance frameworks to protect operational integrity.
Drive accurate, real-time reporting in a dynamic, change-heavy environment.
Optimise production by strategically managing resources and skill sets.
Build trusted relationships with customers and senior stakeholders.
Champion continuous improvement, coaching and developing managers and teams to perform at their best.

We’re looking for someone with:
Proven experience delivering heavy maintenance or complex engineering projects.
Strong people leadership capability with a coaching mindset
Experience with risk assessment and safety management.
A strategic yet hands-on approach, able to adapt to shifting priorities.
High attention to detail with strong reporting and administrative discipline
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Knowledge of governance and assurance frameworks (desirable, not essential)
