Our client is a well-established, family-run textile merchants based in Southend-on-Sea supplying bespoke tailoring to the fashion and theatre/film industries.
They are looking for a Sales Administrator to join their close-knit team. This role is a great opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic team player who is ready to learn and work hard.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Receive incoming calls and e-mails from customers dealing with enquiries, quotations and orders

Accurately process orders onto our inhouse system in a timely fashion

Allocate stock for orders

Liaise directly with the customers by telephone and e-mail, ensuring quality customer service in every situation

Work closely with colleagues in the Sales team and in the Warehouse to ensure customer orders are processed correctly and efficiently

General administrative duties as required
The ideal candidate will:

Have worked in a sales/merchanting environment previously with experience and understanding of stock allocation

Ideally have textile and/or tailoring knowledge

Have strong IT skills including proficient knowledge of Outlook and other Microsoft programs

Have strong communication skills

Be well organised and able to work both independently and as part of team

Be open to learning how to use new software (full training will be provided)
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, office based only, no hybrid
